Peter has written effective technical documentation, for products and projects, apps and APIs, and knows how to avoid both too much and too little documentation. Peter co-authored Play for Scala (Manning, 2013), and contributed to 97 Things Every Java Programmer Should Know (O’Reilly, May 2020). From 2005 to 2014, Peter wrote extensively on the Lunatech Blog.

Peter is an experienced amateur early music singer - baritone/bass - focused on renaissance polyphony. Peter sang with chamber choir Cappella Gabrieli in the Netherlands from 2004-2023, with Rotterdam quartet Het Retorisch Kwartet until 2018, and with the Renaissance Singers in London in 2014. In 2022, he joined a new quintet in Delft - Het Koornmarkt Kwintet.
